what is the process?
First, contact me at the e-mail address above and let me know you are interested in a commission. If you know what kind you'd like, let me know; if you're not sure what it would fall under, describe to me what you'd like, and I will get back to you on pricing!
For all character work, character descriptions are required; reference images are much appreciated if any exist. I will draw a sketch (or possible several) idea sketches based on what you tell me and present it to you for approval. If you have ANY changes you'd like to make to the sketch, please request them at that time. Once I move into the inking phase, I can't fix things as easily. I am happy to make changes or re-do your sketch within reason - I do have a limit of three total re-draws of a sketch, after which I will charge you a higher rate. Refunds can also only be made at this point.
After approval, I will move on to the final stage of inking and colouring your piece. I will again send a finished version to you for final approval; any final changes or fixes need to be addressed in this phase! If it's a traditional piece, I will mail it out to you after final approval. Digital pieces will be e-mailed over in a high-res 300DPI format.
I accept payments for commissions via paypal (unfortunately, not by credit card) and money orders. I really prefer not to take checks, but can on a case by case basis.
Payment is due AFTER you approve a sketch and BEFORE you recieve your finished version for final approval.

what is avaliable?
Icons - $10
100x100 pixel icons, drawn & coloured digitally; also includes a larger 300x300 version! 300DPI image is e-mailed to you for printing.

Bookmarks - $15
Drawn on bristol, 1 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches. Generally are drawn vertically, but can be done horizontally as well.

Traditional Conbadges - $25
Examples:

Badges are drawn on bristol, 2 1/4 by 3 1/2 inches. You can request horizontal or vertical positioning. Each badge comes with a plastic pinback badge holder. A badge will generally include a head shot (or, if vertical, about head-to-waist or whatever fits), the character name, and a minimal background.

Digital Conbadges - $25
Examples:

Digital badges are 4x3. These are bigger than traditional badges so usually include more of the character, but will include one character, character name, and a minimal background. No laminating or badge holders right now; 300DPI image is e-mailed to you for printing.

Digital Ink Commission - $10
Examples:

A digital 5x5 inch image, no colouring, with a plain white background. 300DPI image is e-mailed to you for printing.
Price quoted is for single character drawings. Additional characters can be added for $10 each.

Ink Commission - $15
Traditional media. An inked drawing of one character on 9x6 paper. No shading, colour, or background is added.
Price quoted is for single character drawings. Additional characters can be added for $10 each.

Basic Digital Commission - $15
Examples:

A digital 5x5 inch image, coloured with simple shading, with a plain white or solid colour background. 300DPI image is e-mailed to you for printing.

Simple Coloured Commission - $30
Traditional or digital.
For traditional, an inked image of one character on 9x6 paper, coloured with Prismacolour markers; simple shading and highlighting is added with Prismacolour coloured pencils. Plain white background.
For digital, a digital 8x10 inch image, coloured with simple shading and highlighting, with a plain or solid colour background. 300DPI image is e-mailed to you for printing.
Price quoted is for single character drawings. Additional characters can be added in either medium for $15 each.

Full Commission - $50
Traditional or digital.
For traditional, a fully inked and coloured character image on 9x6 paper, done in Prismacolour markers and coloured pencil. Additional mixed media may also be used. Plain white background.
For digital, a digital 8x10 inch image, coloured, shaded & highlighted, with a plain white or solid colour background. 300DPI image is e-mailed to you for printing.
